Chronic Pain Australia assists people with chronic pain across all age groups. The organisation convenes National Pain Week, the 2016 event being scheduled for 25-31 July.
Its website Resources pages contain articles, research papers, factsheets, and a list of significant pain books which can be accessed in NSW Libraries (compiled by NSW Health’s, Agency for Clinical Innovation). Video gallery presents inspiring stories from people living with chronic pain, along with expert opinions from academics, doctors and other professionals.
Through Forum consumers (members) can connect with online support. Among Chronic Pain Australia’s myriad activities are initiatives to: reduce pain sufferers’ social isolation; raise awareness about chronic pain and associated issues; represent health consumers in various fora; and assist health professionals with continuing education.
